Dear Mr Mouat;

About two months ago I wrote to you when your son was posted missing. Now I can rejoice with you that he [?] alive and a Prisoner of War in German Hands.

You will be able to write to him and no doubt you will have a card from him before this. Parcels may be sent to him also through the Red Cross but of all this you will have had word.

I just wanted to say that I had not forgotten you nor your lad, and one of these days I hope to see you out there in Ganges.
