Letter

OTTAWA, Canada, 2nd October, 1946.

Mrs. Grace Quinlan,
Suite 2, Laurier Lodge,
605 - 13th Avenue West,
Calgary, Alberta.

Dear Mrs. Quinlan:

A communication has been received from the Graves Registration & Enquiry Service on the continent which states that they have located your son's grave in Fourfeldt Cemetary; which is located two miles north-west of Esbjerg, Denmark. The graves in this cemetery have been renumbered and registered by this service; your son's remains are in Plot A3, Row 10, Grave No. 16.

The reverent care of the burial places of all who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force is the task of the Imperial War Graves Commission; and these graves will be supported and sustained by the Dominion of Canada. I hope that it may be of some consolation for you to know that your gallant son's grave is in sacred care and keeping.

May I again offer you my deepest sympathy. I can only hope that in days to come you may see the fulfilment of those ideals for which your son laid down his life.

Yours sincerely,
R.C.A.F. Casualty Officer,
For Chief of the Air Staff.
