Ottawa, Dec. 13th, 1943
Dear Sir:
Re: Pilot Officer W. Ivan Mouat
We are in receipt of your letter of Dec. 7th, regarding your son, who is a prisoner of war in Germany.
This division appreciates your request for permission to send a blanket and encloses herewith the necessary label. In order to conform with regulations the parcel must not exceed eleven pounds and must contain blankets only. Any other article enclosed in this parcel will be returned by the Postal Censors.
This does not interfere in any way with the sending of the regular personal parcel for which label will be forwarded in due course.
You may rest assured we are anxious to assist in any matter concerning the welfare of your son.
Yours faithfully,
(signed, initialed by proxy)
