Dear Mom,
Just this morning I arrived back at the Station after my leave to Ireland. It was perfect. I spent most of my evenings with Frances, and as you can guess we had a wonderful time together.
As yet you have not received the story of my first leave in Ireland, nor my leave in Wales, so I've got three trips to write about. I'm in the process of finishing the first one, and the story of the trip to Wales is just being started.
When I got back to Camp there were many letters waiting for me, as usual. One was from you, which contained the "Glace Bay' hankerchiefs. (Both Frances and Joan have the G. B. hankies.)
Just before I went on leave the very nice Valentine card, and the "Brother" card (from Art and Gloria) arrived. And to think that Willie is a Father now! I'm also glad to hear that you and Dad bought the house. I imagine you will be well settled by the time I get back.
I just learned that the AE.M.s with repat. #100 are going home by Apr. 1st. My repat. is 104, so I'll be here for awhile.
I'm glad to hear that Grandmother is recovering.
Luckily, I've got a 72 coming up, so I'll go Harrogate to see May.
So long for now, Love, Lewis.
