Dear Mom,
Tonight, I'm working at the Flight Hut, seeing our kite off, and waiting for it to return. It's not a hard job, but you have to be here all the time.
Tonight is o.k. for flying. There's a moon and it's not too cold.
I've sent a small parcel home which contains personal stuff like letters, so you needn't open it.
By the way, did a book about the Continental # 409 Squadron arrive at home? it was sent from Holland, and I'd like to know if you ever got it.
Love, Lewis.
