October 3, 1944

Dear Mom,

I expect this will be one of the last letters being sent home, but if you write to the following address, your letters will ultimately reach me.

M. P. O. # 304, R. C. A F., Ottawa.

Now I know what a pack horse feels like. All that equipment! When I took it off my back I was still round shouldered. With all the romours about rationing and shortages, some of the fellows have packed all sorts of things to take with them.

I met Willie and he's engaged to be married.

Hope that all is well at home. You'll hear from me soon.

Love to all, Lewis.
