Poem

A Little Smile

1)
Once when Life's dark miseries
            encompassed me about:
I saw a lovely, golden light
            that never has gone out.

2)
A friend upon me smiled that day -
            a smile serene and tender.
Gentle reader - smiles thus sent,
            bring joy unto the sender.
