Dear Ma, Pa and Ruth and Art.

I received your letters today. I also received one from Art. I received about five from you, Ma, Pa and Ruth. I guess they were held up at Standacona I. I hope Pa that you are felling O.K. again. It is still warm in the day time here although there was a short shower of rain today. It is colder in the mornings. I bet you are sure glad to be back home Art. The apples haven’t arrived yet but I guess they will be here any day now. I hope I get next leave O.K. when it comes due. How are things going at the shipyard these days Pa? How are the pears coming along on the tree? I guess the summer weather is about over now. I am OK. I am working in the shipyard here. Paton is working here too. It sure isn’t a very big town here. There are no street cars. There is a canteen here at Shelburne. I hope Ma, Pa and Ruth that you are all O.K. Well that is about all for today. I will write again tomorrow.

Love to all,

Rubert.
