Dear Mrs. Addison:
With our days full of duties and our evenings filled with fun and an occasional party I seem to have had a difficult time keeping up my correspondence. I have set aside this evening just for writing to friends such as you and your organizations which have so kindly remembered me at Christmas.
I was delighted with the Christmas box which I received from Humewood. Everything was lovely and seemed to be all the things which I needed most. I have been most thankful for the warm mittens on several occasions.
England is experiencing one of her coldest winters for some years. May I be remembered to Mr. Trusler and the members of the staff and to you, your president and the members of the executive I wish the highest success for the year nineteen hundred and forty-five.
Yours sincerely
Dorothy P. Churchill.
