Diary

June 30 - Day very hot. Had a parade at 8 a.m. Major Smith took command of the Midland. Col. Williams to be moved onto the boat. He received an insulting note from Col Strabenzie but no attention was paid to it. He would have been mobbed by the Midland men had they known.
