Breakfast at 8. Out of sight of land. 20 men on parade, about 6 men on guard each day. Feel pretty fair. Saw a whale spouting up water in the distance. Got pipe and tobacco pouch from Lord Strathcona. Got 40 lbs. of tobacco from McDonald Co. of Montreal. Rose very sea sick.
