Dear Mom:
This should be the last of my letters from England as we are just waiting to go on the train tonight then on the boat. The way things are lined up for us we aren't going to get much sleep tonight as we are heading for the train around midnight and due in Southampton at 3 a.m. then on board.
The Queen "E" should sail some time tomorrow as she has been loading for a day & a half now. That should bring me home as I have already said around the 25th I hope. So I still should make it for Patsy's birthday.
My leave in Edinburgh was grand I sure wish that I had had more time to spend up there, but that is all over now I don't expect to ever see this country again.
The boys are very quiet today as the zero hour approaches just sitting around the hut reading, writing letters, playing cards or just sleeping. The weather has been cloudy for the last few days although it hasn't rained it has sure looked like it.
Our next worry now is the kind of crossing we are going to have, we all hope that it is a good one.
I received Dad's and Shirley's letters yesterday and as none have arrived today they will be the last.
Be seeing you soon.
Love,
Ted.
