Dear Folks-

Well at least I'm getting places after spending one year about one week and one day in England. I've finally got on a draft for France so should be seeing some real excietment about the time this reaches you. I'm writing this on board ship where we eat like kings and live first class.

We've moved a lot this last while just more or less queing up. Spent a couple of days in an English camp where we did nothing and ate about every two hours.

Couldn't finish this letter yesterday as I had to go and eat. We set sail last night just a little after midnight and should be landing soon. Everything is very quiet but things have been rather hot because there are quite a few ships half sunk and upended.

The channel has been very calm all the way over and I havn't even been seasick which is rather strange. Our boat is a fair size which makes riding easier.

When I left 11/Bn I had a heck of a time getting all that parcel tucked away. I managed to get everything either packed or eaten except the honey. I could have put it in my bed roll but didn't think it was worth the risk of getting my bed all stuck up with honey so left it.

Can't think of anything else just now so will close. Will write later on in the week.

Hope everything is fine hear your getting plenty of rain. Was there a celebration in Theodore on the 1st of July. Cherrio for now.

Yours Truly Harvey B.
