I must regretfully inform you that since your son, Flight Sergeant Albert Norman Gould, was reported missing, no further information regarding him has been received other than that contained in the letter to you dated November 11th, 1944 from these Headquarters.

You may rest assured that every possible effort is being made to trace your son and upon any news being obtained you will be informed immediately.

May I extend my sincere sympathy to you and the members of your family in this time of anxiety.
