Dear Mother & Dad:

I am writing this letter by the fireside with Ann sitting opposite me and Aunt Annie & a lady by the name of Molly who stays here cleaning up the supper table. Yes, I am just on the start of another 9 days leave again. I plan to spend most of it up in Dudley and this time see Uncle Ted and the rest of the folks. Aunt Millie has gone back to Bournemouth. Well, the mail man has been really good to me these last few days. With an air mail letter and two ordinary delivery letters from you, one from Charlie, another from his folks, and one from Thelma, and oh yes a nice long letter from Rose at 64 Albion St, to which I am replying right away. Now to reply to your letter of Feb 16. I haven't received the parcels sent on the 18th of December and the 29th of January as yet, but they will be coming in due course I imagine. The Colgates tooth paste and the batteries will really come in handy. About the assigned pay, I would rather have it assigned than deferred. You will be sure to let me know about February's pay, won't you.

As you can see by the address, the good old Sergeancy has come through. I have been a Sergeant with effect 13 Jan 44. It won't be long before I'll be putting up the green above the three stripes, and take away the Lance in front of Sgt. I am planning on spending a couple of days here and then going to Dudley. Here is Freddy Allen's address, as far as I know it: - 237165, L/Cpl Allen, F.G., "R" Signals, H.Q. Coy, PRI Stores, School of Signals, Catterick, Yorks. I'll b replying to your other letter soon, so until then, here's wishing you All the Best and God Bless you, Mother & Dad.

Your Loving Son -
Harry
