Dear Mom-

Got back off my leave o'k which turned out to be one of the best I've had since I've been over here. Met an awful lot of nice people, one in particular, which don't take no back seat for Hedy Lamour at her best, & boy she's just my speed.

Just missed going on this Sicily excursion which seems to be taking up a lot of the headlines these days. Lost about half my pals on drafts which have arrive down there.

Not much more to write about so will close.
