My darling:

Received your pictures yesterday (the ones you asked W.G. to give me) and I'm simply mad about them. I've done nothing but look at them ever since he gave them to me. They really are super. I love those two where your mad darling, you look just like a little after he's had a whipping. And listen here, about that one of you, Len and the "bus Driver" you just watch your step because I'm terribly jealous. After all your the nicest one in the whole crew. At least I think so anyway and I know I'm not alone in my thoughts. So just watch out ‘cause if I catch up with her I'm liable to scratch here eyes out. Seriously though, dear, that is the best picture of the lot, of both you & Len. And the "bus driver" is cute isn't she?

Nothing new has happened lately. I never life could be so dull. I bet you're having enough excitement for both of us. So I don't mind waiting.

I've thought about you an awful lot lately. I always did think about you a lot but somehow, lately, I haven't been able to do much for thinking about you. Please write soon dear, I haven't had any letters from you for about two weeks. Now I know how you feel when you don't get mail.

Bill, suppose I decided to join up, say the Red Cross or some other branch of the service, what would you think of that? The only thing I'm afraid of is that they might send me overseas just at the time they're sending you home. I hadn't thought very seriously about it yet, and I may never do it, but I thought I'd like to know what you think about it first.

I have quite the suprise in store for you but you won't know about it for at least a month. But I'm definately now going to tell you anymore about it, ‘cause I want it to be really a suprise. (I'm sure it will be.)

Well darling I've been very talkative tonight but now I think I'll scram.

All my love, Hilda.

P.S. Sweet dreams sweetheart.
