ROYAL NAVAL AIR STATION
YEOVILTON, SOMERSET.

Dec. 20, 1940

Dear Mother

Please note my new address. I have now severed connections with my old squadron.
I am now an instructor at the Fleet Air Arm Fighter School where we train future Billy Bishops, or hope to anyway.

Send all mail for the time being to Bill (Line Shoot - DSC) c/o R.N.A.S. as above. Still have had no acknowledgment as to whether you received the news of my D.S.C. yet but suppose you must have.

Haven't done so badly so far, DSC and twice mentioned in dispatches - probably have a slight rest period now.

How are Ronny, Jean and Bob? Tell Dad he'll have to have a new car before I'll drive it - some time to go yet. Is he still busy on the road?

At the present I don't know who will be the most dangerous, Jerry or my pupils! - will let you know.

They have offered me two weeks leave over Christmas but don't think I can afford it - having had some a month ago when I spent a little too much money.

Love

Bill
