Dear Mother:-

I am a day late with my letter this week as I waited till today to see if I received any mail so as to have something to write about. However as no mail has put in appearance I will try and write a few lines anyway

The fine weather is here in all its glory now as we have hot cloudless days and moonlight nights but quite cool. That is the best part of the weather here now, the cool nights, we have to use two blankets over us sleeping in a closed tent as there is a very heavy dew.

Things down here are lively again at the front although there is a rumor saying its finished out here. They havent said anything about going home yet so I guess we will be here for two months anyway.

I could not get a chance to send that money home yet and its been over a month since I first mentioned it. Our O.C. has been away a lot lately, perhaps I can fix it up when he returns

I bought a wrist watch today at the Y.M.C.A. just an Ingersoll but paid $5.00 for it. Looks pretty good if I can keep from breaking it. The one I had when I left home I broke some months ago, When I got finished with it there was no glass, no hands and it was off the wrist strap.

Well I will close for now hoping this finds you all well as I am with lots of love.

Your loving son
Harold.
