Dear Glady’s
Just a few lines to let you know I received you kind and welcome letter a few days ago and was pleased to hear from you. Well I am in the forestry corp, now but I never [?] of coming here I was on draft when I was in seaford but I thought I was going back to France but this is the outfit I landed in and I dont care much for it. I have put in for a transfer to another batt, but I am not sure if I will get it or not but I hope I do We have nearly every nationality in this company but they are pretty good fellow’s
Well Glady’s I suppose you will be having nicer weather now to what you did when you wrote last it has rained nearly every day since I came here Sunday especially it is always wet no we can’t go any where. But we feel more like writing after working all week and we dont get Saturday afternoons off.
Where is Charlie is he in France yet? It may not be long till I am there myself if there is any possable chance of getting out of this but we are never satisfied but we are all alike in the army.
Well Glady’s I had some photos taken a few days ago so if they are any good I will send you one. Well I think I have told you all for this time so I will close hoping those few lines may find you all well as it leaves me at present
