Dearest:

Just a note to let you know that I am O.K. but too busy to-day to write a regular letter. I have been detailed for various jobs yesterday and to-day, but on each occasion was unable to go. We always go out in formations of several machines for any job. The first time I had to chance machines at the last minute owing to a bad cylinder and when I got into the air the other machines were out of sight, so after cruising around for awhile trying to find them I came back and to-day I had to come back on account of engine failure once and the second time after we had got up a good height the leader decided that it was too thick to be any use, so he signaled us to return. We have another stunt on to-morrow a.m.. and I have to get up at five o’clock. Had a trip up to the lines this evening just at dusk and watched the flashes from the big guns. Sone pummeling the Huns were getting!

Hope you are all right Dear and not worrying.
Lovingly as always
Eric.
