The war seems to be going very much in our favour at the moment, particularly in Russia. I don’t think I am foolish in saying that it will be won this year and peace restored in 1944. It will certainly be grand to see you all again as I miss you more than I can say. I do get fed up at times but expect this is to be expected in view of the minor role we have been forced to play the past three years. If we aren’t in action in three months, I intend to marry Kay.
