Well, we finally got off the boat and are now rolling on the rails. We docked the tender at about 1 p.m. ad received quite a reception. We had a long route march and found the place much bigger than it appeared from the sea. All the houses are old and constructed of stone and many have ancient trees of tremendous proportions. The grass is quite green and many of the streets wind along the harbour and are all paved with flint.  You have no idea how beautiful the place really is and I find it difficult to do it justice.

We got a kick out of the trains, particularly the engines and box-cars. The former looking much like donkey engines and the latter like the dump-cars in a coal mine. As I am short of space, will write again soon. Love to all.
