Dear Ollie:-

We got the cards from all hands.  I tell you what Angus and Jack was some pleased with them.  Well Ollie Xmas is most here and I would like to be able to drop in and see you all and get a good feed of home cooked grub.  But guess we will have to be satisfied with the army rations for one more Xmas.  But think by the looks of things we will be home for another year’s Xmas.

I suppose you have the water piped to the house by now.  Hope so anyway.  How big a crew has Daddy got in the woods this winter and how are they getting along?  You must be getting quite a winter home this winter by the letters we all get.  Jack is up to the range now coaching.  He is staying there and we go up every morning.  It is about 20 miles by rail and about4 miles to walk so we are traveling quite a ways in a week.  There is two crowds go.  One lot goes at 6:30 am and the other one goes at 10:30 am and the early crowd comes back at 1:30 p.m. and the late one at 6:30.  We take turns.  One goes early and the next morning it goes on the late train.  I had a letter from Aunt Aggie this week.  She had jut written to Mother and Aunt Bell; I would like to see her again.  She told me she was going down home next summer for a while.  Perhaps we will be home by that time ourselves.

Well I don’t know anything more to write so will have to close for this time.
