Dear Ollie:

Yours received this noon.  Had begun to think you were all dead.  It’s funny you did not get my letters before.  Had a letter from Lib last week and I mailed you’re the same day that I mailed Lib’s.  I can tell you was getting some uneasy.  Thot’ you all must have the flu for it is sure still going in this country altho’ we haven’t much of it in this Reserve.  Well they had another riot among the troops but not here thank the lord.  I don’t want to have to go gunning after human game any more.  The ruction started at Rhill, that is one of the lea demobilization camps.  And I guess it was a hot one with lead flying good & plenty.  Five killed & 40 wounded.  One of my old boys was killed and I guess he got it trying to save an Officer.  The paper gave him great praise at any rate.  (Good old “D”).  Glad you are leading in votes but am afraid you will have a hard pull of it yet before you get your ticket for France.  But here is hoping you win out and we will take a trip up to old Scotland sure.  Had a letter from there last week.  Most everyone I know has the flu.  One house they all have it but an old Naval Capt. and he is doing the work.  I would sure like to see him at it for he is a typical Englishman & I thot’ about as helpless as they make ‘em but he is sure a queer old duck.  Was there to tea the last night was on leave and he sure could tell some yarns.

My Heavens, is Daddy made of money?  He must be planning to make Millville boom.  It’s a good thing to have that old orchard cut down for it was only a breeding place for all the pests known to an orchard.  Must quit for this time.  Hope you got my photos.  Would hate to have them lost as it took me two years to get them.

 Love to all

Jack
