As your name & address were on the Customers Declaration of the very nice parcel I received yesterday I am taking the liberty of writing to you, to express my sincerest appreciation of everything contained & trust you will convey my thanks to Mr.Trusler & everyone else concerned with the welfare of Ex-Humewood School pupils now in the Services.

You will be pleased to hear that the nice sweater enclosed in your parcel fits me very well & will certainly be used to the full as will the envelopes & writing paper. As you will see I am using them to write you this letter.
