Dear Mother :-

It is Monday but I didn't get much time to write yesterday as I was on fatigue duty nearly all day.

I got six bunches of papers from you lately. A lot of weekly news', the Halifax papers and the Montreal papers. Thanks ever so for them.

Foster Murray wrote me a full account of the explosion. From what he told me, I guess the papers omitted a lot of the facts about the disaster.

I haven't got very much mail lately but it is my own fault as it is about 2 mos since I took a lazy spell in letter writing and so am getting no answers.

We have been having spring for over a month now The leaves are all coming out now but it is still muddy and wet.

I have never got the Sat Evening post yet which Madge says she subscribed to.

Well I must close now.

Lovingly
Ludlow
