Letter

Somewhere in France 17th Sep 1916 Dear Sister I received your ever welcome letter and parcel a few days ago, but I did not have time to answer it we have just got back from the trenches we were in there for ten days this time1. I seen the two Roney boys the other day, they are not in the same Battn but they are in the same Brigade, the weather has been fair and hence we have had a little rain but not very much you can send me one pair of socks the next time you write, the medicine went fine. I did not quite follow the directions, but there was four of us had a little of it and of course, we felt the good of it, we are sleeping out just now but it is more to me soldiering so we don't worry well I think that is about all this time hope to hear from you soon. I remain Your loving brother Alex
