Now in command. Maj Rimmell goes over on the 1st as second in command & I understand they want me back again - but not if I can help it.
Sam Hughes gave me a letter to his son the General of the 5th Division which I sent to him from London. I have his reply inviting me to call on him when in Bramshott. It is not very promising but I am going to see what there is in view this week or as soon as I get my pay.
I only have a pound left to keep the rats from chewing my shoes. Thank goodness I have a complete supply of clothes for a good while yet. Sox underwear shirts galore.
Keep your courage up I know if I go to France I shall have to give up from Rheumatism or something
