Dear Mother

Just a few lines to pass the time away. we are now nearing Revelstoke and are ordered to be dressed to parade around town. everyone is busy getting dressed.

Did you get the picture I sent of the Draft from Vancouver. I forgot to ask you. you will find me on the left about half way up. I thought you would like to have one. I sampled the cake at noon and gave the boys a piece. We are getting [?] all along the line [?] all the people. so I will close as we are nearly there the train is getting fierce.

love to all

Your loving son

John
