Dear mother

I hope you are all quite well, thank you very much for the Parcels that I got it was very good of you sending them to me, We are out resting for a few days again, I saw Ted Pitchford yesterday, so he came out all right again, his company had a pretty tough time of it.

I had a nice long letter from Len & one from maggie a few days ago, they seem to be having a pretty good time of it, since they got the car, I had a letter from Mrs Evans as well.

We have had lovely weather here lately, in fact it is a little to lovely, the smell in the Trenches is getting something fierce. Everybody tells me I am getting quite fat I know that my appitite has'nt faded any lately, in fact I think it is improving if possible.

Is Will going to jump any of his Horses this year, I see they are going to hold the Royal, I supose they will hold other show's as well.

If you havent had any more rain, than we had lately, you must begin to need it on the crops, the crops out here are looking fine, they grow a lot of Beans & Hops & Rye is Dick Lea still in England, if he comes out here as reinforcements, he will probably come to our 2nd Batt they come from B.C. if he does let me know & I will look him up.

I am enclosing a Listining Post I don't know if it interest you, I guess you wont understand a lot of it anyway.

give my love to all at Home

I remain your loving Son

Tommy.
