Dear Dad:

This is my first attempt at a letter for a least two months I think.

Lately I have received letters from Uncle Don and Alex Cameron of Olds, as well as Jean Gilchrist of Cayley.

By the way, have you heard that I have been awarded a second mention in Dispatch for good services in an air attack on oil tanks in Norway.

I am due for more leave soon and hope to spend it in London -busman's holiday dodging bombs.

I hear that Jean is quite a young lady these days and Ronny is no slouch - hope to teach him flying some day.

Glad to hear that you are working hard and enjoying life.

Best of love to all the family.

Bill
