Dear Mother & Dad:
Greetings from the Old Country - and how are you.
Met some of the first Canadian contingent - great hulking lot.
Had dinner last night with officer in the Coldstream Guards and a Lieut. Vivien R.N. - grand types.
This blackout in London is a blackout - they mean it evidently.
I cam back alone, not with my old establishment - if you know what I mean.
Anyway, its dear old London or England I hope for Christmas - but who knows.
Very sorry that none of the family were here to be surprised - some people have all the luck.
Will give you my new address soon.
Love to all the family
Bill
