Dear Mom and Dad,

This well only be a hurried note as I haven't much time at present. The parcel arrived-I believe I mentioned it in my last letter. I sure was glad to get it. On Christmas day we are going to have a big party in the mess, for a lot of little orphans who live near the station.

Our leave isn't due until the 14th Jan. I'm going to write to Aunt Rosalyn and tell her I'm coming to see her. She hasn't written to me yet. I don't think her lawyers gave her my address. Ray is lucky to be getting his discharge. I sure hope I'm home before the war ends, because I'll get out faster that way.

I should be finished in about five more months. That's a long time, isn't it, but it will soon be over, and I'll be walking in on you one of these days. The weather is foggy and wet. I've been cold ever since I came over. It would be lovely to see a little Vancouver fog for a change. I've seen plenty of countries from the air since I started. I'd like to see them all in peace time, but it would cost a fortune. I must close , but I'll write more next time.

Please look after Dolly and baby for me, and write soon.

Your ever-loving son,

Ted
