Dear Sister

Just a few lines to let you know I am still alive I received your very welcome letter to night and was glad to hear from you I got that parcel last night and thanks ever so mutch the weather is cold hear about [?] below you might not think that is very cold but it feels just as cold as 25 below over there there is about 3 inches of snow on the grownd tell Ottis I will wright letter we cannot wright very mutch about one letter a week is all we can post. The last letter I got from you there was some cents in stamps in it

Old chum so as I can have a deacent smoke for once

Well news is pretty scarce around hear so I guess I will close for to night
