Dearest Mary
This is some town have been getting around good have 17 S yet some of the boys are broke will go back to Camp I may stay untill Wed. if my money will buy egg 8¢ bread 19¢ sugar lb 12f tupence for this & that terrable place for girls by the hundreds no wonder the race are small We have 6 days. this is my 3rd day my money is putting me alonge fair our bed ticks are 8¢ my meals average 11D each Stamps tram fair etc. etc

I do not go with the boys much I take the cars out to places on the sides where Zebbs smashed houses two nights ago hit a hut wounding 15 Soldiers two died it jars the ground for block or so braking windows one house fell on a woman killing her it is a great site to see the search lights at night I was all through London tower where St John Church is, built in 9th Century great mail armer on big men dungeons the room where the two kids were smothered the block and axe I saw inside St Pauls would like to go to church their to day. have been away up the Strand to see Nelsons Monument West Minster Abby will go and see Regent St yet

3 or 4 place up their I want to see a Zebb somehow I the people are mad to think Britain is not hitting the Zebbs. they do almost for it only stays a minute. it is quite easy to get around this club is so well known hope you are getting alonge good. some say it will be over in two or three months write soon often Ha Ha I guess their will be some when get back camp Fred saw in the paper how to address a letter to England he wrote on the 4th my I was glad to get it did not get a new hat or coat yet our freight was not in yet

Their are hundreds of Australians here big fellows I could stay in London for the remainder of the War if I had the money to live on but I do not know how to get the money I did have a game for a day or so that the soldiers play at 5 h. a game but they do not go for it here a bunch of cards with numbers up to 90 I call out numbers & as soon as some one gets a row across his card he calls out here and he has the game 24 cards in the game I make 10 15 or 20 h. a game I run it about one hour a day made about 16S. but it does not go all the time. how are the kiddies and our folks I have a good look at this picture every little while my dearest love ones wish I was going some soon XXXXXXX
