My darling girl

Your welcome letter of June 9th to hand OK., also the photos of you & Eric which I was very pleased indeed to get & proud to show to my brother officers.

I hope dear you can manage to get the kiddies to Rhyl when the summer holidays come around it would be such a nice change for you & them.

I think I told you about leave in one of my previous letters.

About Eric's hair I hope you are worrying unecessary about that, as that's one effect that ringworm has, have you seen the Dr. about it? if it is the effect of the X Rays he should certainly be made to sit up, find out right away as I feel rather anxious about the matter, a lot of these doctors are too prone to experiment with these new fangled cures, if the X-ray cure affects the hair he should have told you, & if he didnt know well he should have known, dont settle his account until you get this thing straightened out.

We are leaving here tomorrow, a fifteen mile route march, but further from the line so dont worry.

I have discarded my trench coat as it was too heavy & was no good for rain anyway, will you buy an oilskin slicker for me, they are fairly cheap, also a pair of Foxe's putties & send them out right away, also a cake of Pear's soap, that's all just now I think. Fondest love to you & the bairns.

Your loving,

Jim
