27th
Left Vlakfontein at 9 A.M. The Draft forming the advance guard on the right flank. Had a very good time. Colin was out with six men on top of a hill. Cap't sent me after him at dark. Camped for the night at Zuikerbosch Rand. Big fight here a week ago.
