My Dear Jessie:
Got your letter today written Sept: 13th; I think there must be a letter or two missing somewhere Q'. I get you a little farther down [?] where you tell me not to be surprised if I miss a week or two; alright I won't write as often as possible.
Was glad to hear Jessie [? Selguirck] had arrived home for a while, hope she makes a good long visit; to bad you missed meeting her at the train to give her a welcome cheer. You must have had a fine trip to the [?] valley; you say you [?] that's the trouble with a car you can never feel perfectly safe, a breakdown causes a lot of trouble sometimes. [?] MacTurky[?] was just in, he asked me if Roy had a car; they evidently haven't said anything to him about their big investment; he was telling me what a great time he would be having if he was home; I think he is about right, I could enjoy a little of that kind of pleasure myself; he says he would start away with the car and stay about a week. Oh! I think Billy Kaiser will get tired soon and let us [?], hope so anyway. Well Deary I think this is all I have to say this time bye-bye. Will write Father in a few days.
Love to all.
Loving bro. Spence
