With reference to your letter of the 26th ultimo, I regret to state that the grave of Private R.J. Galloway has not yet been located, and that all enquiries have so far proved unsuccessful.
The battlefields are now being carefully and systematically searched, and I will write to you again if any information is available.
I am very sorry not to be able to send you a more satisfactory reply.
