This trip was done with 10/10 cloud up to 15000 ft. With a ¾ bright moon. Cloud broke just before we reached the target. Streets of the town were visible from 21000 ft. the B.A. could see blocks of buildings blown up. About 60 S/L with moderate heavy flak. A Great number of fighter planes and we saw 4 fighters. The crew saw many streaks of tracer across the Sky indicating combats between fighters and bombers. The route was very well chosen and we had a quite trip except for the target B/A telling the Pilot to hold her steady so he could get some good pictures. We lost one engine on the way home. Our longest trip so far.
