Dear Pat.

In the last month or so Ive been wondering whats the matter with you for not writing and I kept trying to decide whether you are mad or that you didn’t receive either of the two letters I sent you, before that I just kept putting it off saying that maybe Ill get one tomorrow, but as the old saying goes “tomorrow never comes” as far as your letter was concerned. Please dont misunderstand I dont mean to criticize your not answering there must be some reason.

If you answer this letter please include Johnnies address, I lost it on the way down here and I havent written him yet Ill bet he is boiling mad and I cant say that I blame him.

I was just looking over some postcards that I have leftover from the coast and I came across one taken of the Gorge in Victoria and I got to thinking about the time we went on that first long walk around it.

By the time you receive this letter Ill probably be a lot farther away from you than I am now. I cant tell you where I’m going because I dont think that the censors would like it.

By the way how to you like the R.N. over there on the West Coast. Are they good boys like the R.C.N was

Have you been ice skating very much yet. I havent been skating since I left Victoria even though they have a skating rink in Halifax (believe it or not) but they dont rent out any skates here like they did in Victoria.

Ive just finished seven days leave in Montreal and did I ever have fun, boy that’s some place. But in a way I didnt enjoy because I had hoped to get more leave and take it at home but the navy seems to know what its doing (I hope).

Have you been seeing much of Johnny and Dorry lately? Are they still getting along on the same terms as they were when I left, you know those two seemed to hit it off perfectly good right from the start. Have you gotten over that big feed we had the night before I left or are those sandwiches still bothering you. That was some night and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Oh yes I want you to get a picture of yourself and send it to me.
