Letter
May 21
Dear Bi
All ok just got your card of May 4. Cannot place the [?]. When your card came I had not seen maple sugar but about 5 min after a parcel came from Eva [?] and the sugar is fine. I am saving it for a day or two so I can eat it in the front line. I think I told you I was recommended for the M. Cross for work on 5/6 of May it is something even if I don’t get it, as I have the original letter of the Divisional General, the Staff Captain and our C.O. to show. Weather here almost as hot as the fighting.
Love to All
Alex
