My darling girl

I got two of your letters one written on Whit Sunday & the other later. So sorry to hear of little Eric having ringworm. I do hope that Dr. Trubshaw's treatment is a success & that he will soon get rid of it, however dearie dont worry yourself over it, I had it when I was a boy about 8 yrs old & had a great time, dont know how long it lasted but I am sure at the most it was no more than two months, however what appealed to me was the fact that I did not have to attend school it was when I was at Caerwys. Dont bother to send out any butter, We get margarine & jam as an issue so that's jake. I received the underwear this afternoon in fact have just returned from having a shower bath & have one suit on now & it feels fine, I hope my summer suit will be along soon.

Both your letters dear were a treat, I do enjoy reading of your doings & thinking that apart from us being seperated [sic] you are having a good time. Shall be looking forward to getting those photos. I do hope Gwladys or Frank dont catch the ringworm, but I guess you are taking all precautions.

"Dont you love me any more?" What a question, I did not send my love to you in Frank's letter because I wrote to you at the same time, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, repeat a thousand times daily, how's that suit you, and you know it's sincere.

Well dearie it seems I cant get away from Musketry, the Battn Musketry officer is sick, & I am now carrying on his job for a while, we are still at the same place, the weather is fine, & the boys in the best of spirits & Heaven help the Fritz's we come up again [sic] in the next show, we have been resting so long now that I believe the boys are just itching for a fight. Fondest love sweetheart to the bairns & YOURSELF also love to Will, Eunice & Iris etc.

Your loving,

Jim
