My darling girl

Have not received any more of your letters since I last wrote. Well dearie, we are still at the same place & not having too bad a time. Do you know kiddy havn't had my clothes off for 17 Days, & during the time in the line, 6 days not even boots off, am lousy & have either got the itch or scabies, apart from that everything OK. We expect to go further back from the line when we shall get a bath & change of clothing & probably be able to take our clothes off at night. Yesterday morning the ground was white with snow, this morning with frost, we are however fairly comfortable in huts & manage to keep a fire going. At night we generally have to take out working parties, leaving about 7 P M & getting back about 12 midnight, which isnt so bad. Confound it kiddie I have mislaid your letter with your new address so will have to forward this through Will. I wrote a letter to Jeanie sympathizing with her on her loss of her little girl, I sent it to Janet to forward.

Bye the bye girlie when the time comes you might send mother some money when she starts on her holidays. Well darling hug the kiddies for me with fondest love.

Your loving,

Jim
