My Dear Agda

How are you girlie? Gee, it seems years since I ever was in Winnipeg, although I guess it is only just around the twelve months, and eight months in France. I trust before another year is through, you will see me back safe and sound.

The bad weather here is almost alover, although it is still rather damp and cold, and there are occasional small falls of snow. Just now I am away back taking a course, in French Mortar work, and you will notice my address is altered. The course has made a complete change. The country here is very pretty, and one misses the sound of the guns and at night, the flares. I guess however, in about three days, I shall be back right there. I hope it will all quit pretty soon. But a fellow gets used to things, and he does not seem to mind them quite so much.

Since being down here, about fourteen days I havn’t had a solitary letter. Guess they havn’t been forwarded. I do hope there will be one from you for me there. You’ve no idea how a fellow longs for mail. It’s about one of the only things he has to look forward to. Will quit now, and write you more, if there does happen to be some news from you. Bye bye- dearie, be good to yourself

Yours as Ever

Harry
