I wish to thank you for your letter of the 20th inst. re Capt. C.R. Robertson and from all facts to hand, I also think that the plane and grave discovered is that of Capt, Robertson.

For your information, this Officer and Sergeant are now buried in the VIS-en-ARTOIS British Cemetery at o.23.d.4.b5-Sheet 51.b. S.W. France. Plot 2, Row d., 16th and 17th graves from the left respectively.

I looked at their plane and examined their engine. It has two rows of six cylinders each. One front cylinder was marked with a brass tag #This Cylinder is 9.02 oversize."

The other cylinder was marked with a tag, "This cylinder is .0015 oversize."

The other front cylinder was marked with a tag, "This cylinder is 001 oversize."

One metal lever attached to wire and wood was marked "4[?]7-S."

I regret troubling you but would you please advise me if this description of the engine suits that driven by Capt. Robertson and also if any of these numbers are traceable to his engine.

(SGB) N.R. Robertson,
Lt. Col.
Commanding 9th Batt. Cdn. Engrs.
