Eleven Squadron, R.F.C.
B.E.F.
France,
July 14- 1917.

 Dear Mrs. Robertson:-

Knowing your son as I did, and being from Listowel, Ontario, which is quite near Walkerton, he and I for past couple of months have been the greatest of friends. He often mentioned you, and I feel and extend deepest heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your son.

On the evening of July 12th about six thirty we left for the lines, about an hour later when over the lines an anti-aircraft gun struck your son's machine; he was leading the formation. The machine was so damaged it went down out of control from over thirteen thousand feet.

Yours sincerely.
(Signed) Andrew E. McKeever.
