Dear Dad- Just a few lines to let you know I am getting along fine. I feel as well as I ever did but of course I am not cured yet. They take tests of urine every week and go by that.  I am due for one tomorrow. My last one was much better I dont get much medicine I am not allowed meat or eggs but I get to a good fish and potatoes every dinner every day so I am not doing bad The Canadian Red Cross Representative here is the wife of the Colonel in charge. She comes to see me every week. She bought me a pair of gloves and a muffler and a bag of chocolates last time.

I expect to get down town soon if I keep on improving I am not supposed to get up in the forenoon yet but I always do. I get up before breakfast and stay up all day.

The weather is beautiful here now and ever since I came.

I dont understand not getting any mail as I have written to France for it and to the record office in London. I should hear from Rollie anyhow. I havent heard from had a letter from since I took sick. I had a circular from the Khaki University wanting one to take a Short course in Agriculture. I guess I will try it anyway. I am doing needle work now, working a badge on cotton.  I dont expect I will ever finish it. It would be nice if it didnt take as long.

This is quite a large hospital ten wards with over fifty beds each and a lot of tents and then they have some patients billeted out. Well dad I guess this will do for this time. Hoping you are all well

Your loving son
