My Dear Little Wife,

I missed your farewell yesterday, but I suppose the rain and the kids and the crowd shut you out.

We got here O.K. and settled by night.

Today we went to work in the regular way with the bugle Band in attendance which makes it enjoyable.

I am writing in the P.O. and am due to parade for supper in 15 minutes so you see I have little time to write and walk back to the barracks. Will write soon again

Your loving Hubby. W J. Wood
